One NBA writer is proposing that the Memphis Grizzlies acquire Nikola Vucevic from the Chicago Bulls.
Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Grizzlies and Bulls:
Nikola Vucevic for Luke Kennard, Ziaire Williams and a lottery-protected 2029 first-round pick
Vucevic is averaging 17.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks this season while shooting 48.5% from the field, 32.4% from beyond the arc and 76.2% from the free-throw line.

Teams are probing the availability of Zach LaVine and there’s been increased openness from the Bulls and LaVine about exploring a trade. Chicago could embark on a rebuild after trading LaVine, so Vucevic could be traded if a LaVine deal happens.
The Grizzlies will be without Steven Adams for the entire season, so they need a big man next to Jaren Jackson Jr.
Once Ja Morant returns from his suspension, the Grizzlies could start Morant, Marcus Smart, Desmond Bane, Jackson Jr. and Vucevic if Memphis’ front office figured out a way to acquire Vucevic from Chicago.
Vucevic is not a fan of Bulls head coach Billy Donovan’s offense, sources told NBA Analysis Network, so the former Orlando Magic star may be open to a trade.

The 33-year-old Vucevic has career averages of 17.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists with the Magic and Bulls. It will be interesting to see if the two-time All-Star is traded this season. Most people around the NBA believe Chicago needs to move on from LaVine, Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan and rebuild.
