Chicago Bulls, NBA trade rumors
NBA Analysis Network

One NBA source told Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic that the Chicago Bulls won’t have the same roster in a month.

Teams are probing the availability of Zach LaVine and there’s been increased openness from the Bulls and LaVine about exploring a trade.

If the Bulls trade LaVine, they may trade DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic as well. Chicago made the playoffs in 2022 but missed the postseason in 2023. The team has started this season just 4-7.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Chicago Bulls Updates

LaVine is averaging 21.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists this season, DeRozan is averaging 21.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists and Vucevic is averaging 17.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in LaVine and DeRozan, sources told NBA Analysis Network. LaVine is also drawing interest from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Another player the Bulls could move on from is All-NBA defender Alex Caruso. The Lakers and Miami Heat are interested in trading for Caruso, sources said. Caruso is averaging 7.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks and has a defensive rating of 111.8 this season.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Chicago Bulls Updates

The Bulls should have blown up the roster this past offseason. However, management thought the roster would be good enough to make the playoffs this season. Chicago needs to rebuild and acquire draft picks and young players because this current core is not good enough to compete.
