Edwards is averaging 27.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists for the Timberwolves. The All-Star is shooting 51.0% from the field, 43.2% from beyond the arc and 82.4% from the free-throw line.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Anthony Edwards, Michael Jordan, Minnesota Timberwolves Updates

The Timberwolves haven’t won a playoff series since 2004. Edwards, the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, has been working hard to be less “selfish” this season.

“Starting with myself, just can’t come out being selfish, worrying about however many points I wanna score,” Edwards said, via The Athletic. “Just playing within the game, playing within the flow, I think that’s the main thing with me. I be worried so much about scoring and how many points I got and how many points I’m tryin’ to get instead of just worrying about the little things, rebounding, boxing out, getting back on D.”

One NBA scout told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that he believes Edwards is a top-10 player in the league.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Anthony Edwards, Michael Jordan, Minnesota Timberwolves Updates

“Anthony Edwards is a top-10 player in the NBA right now,” an NBA scout told HoopsHype. “He’s the real deal and plays both sides of the ball. Minnesota has two top-10 NBA defenders: Rudy Gobert, with his rim protection, and Jaden McDaniels, one of the best defenders on the perimeter. People forget they played Denver tough the last few games of their series. I think they can be a real threat in the West.”
