One NBA writer is proposing that the Sacramento Kings acquire OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors.
Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Kings and Raptors:
The Sacramento Kings receive OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors for Keegan Murray, Kevin Huerter, a 2027 first-round pick and a 2029 first-round pick
The Kings made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2006. They lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round in seven games. Hughes believes Anunoby is the ideal player Sacramento needs to become a force in the NBA.

“Anunoby is a brutishly strong forward with length, lateral quickness and amazing mobility,” Hughes wrote in his NBA trade column. “He can guard all five positions and might be the most intimidating isolation defender in the game. That he’s a career 37.5 percent shooter from long range is a bonus. The Kings would immediately improve in their most desperate area of need by adding him.”
The Kings could start De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Anunoby, Harrison Barnes and Domantas Sabonis if Sacramento’s front office figured out a way to acquire Anunoby from Toronto.
Anunoby is averaging 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals for the Raptors this season while shooting 55.9% from the floor, 42.5% from beyond the arc and 44.4% from the free-throw line.
One of the top two-way players in the NBA, Anunoby led the NBA in steals per game last season and made the All-Defensive second team. He is looking for greater ball-handling opportunities that can result in a commensurate salary increase, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, and that may not be available to him in Toronto since the Raptors are building around Scottie Barnes.
