There may not be a team in the NBA that has as much star power as the Phoenix Suns. Thanks to an offseason trade with the Washington Wizards, they were able to acquire shooting guard Bradley Beal, adding him to a lineup that already included All-Stars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.

In the opinion of many people, that is the best offensive trio currently in the NBA. Unfortunately for the Suns, they haven’t been able to get on the court together yet this season. And, there is no clear timetable for when that could occur.

Before the Suns suffered what could end up being the biggest collapse of the NBA season against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, head coach Frank Vogel was asked about whether or not his stars would be in the lineup on Thursday when the teams face off again. Vogel didn’t provide much of an update.

“Don’t know. There’s no real timetable on that right now,” Vogel said. He did add that most of the conditioning Booker and Beal are doing is in the weight room with some light on-court work consisting of shooting.

That certainly isn’t an encouraging development as Booker and Beal don’t sound like they are particularly close to getting back on the court. Beal has been sidelined for all four games this season because of lower back tightness.

Tuesday’s absence was the third straight for Booker, who is dealing with an ankle injury after entering the opening night with a toe ailment. Booker looked great on opening night against the Golden State Warriors, scoring 32 points with eight assists as the team’s new starting point guard.

In their absence, Vogel has been leaning heavily on Eric Gordon, Josh Okogie and Jordan Goodwin in the backcourt. The team is lacking a true point guard, as Booker is taking over that role this season and Durant has been the leading assist guy in his absence.
