After the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Orlando Magic on October 31, Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook took some subtle shots at his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Westbrook told NBA reporters he’s playing the “point guard” position with the Clippers. He also explained why he’s so much happier now compared to when he was with the Lakers.
Westbrook averaged 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 130 games with the Lakers. The purple and gold went only 56-74 with the UCLA product in the lineup.
Westbrook wasn’t a good fit next to Anthony Davis and LeBron James since he’s not a reliable shooter. The future Hall of Famer shot just 29.7% from beyond the arc as a member of the Lakers.
