The Blazers, who are in rebuild mode after trading Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Clippers by 12 points. George had a terrific game, putting up 27 points, three rebounds and six assists while shooting 11-of-17 overall, 4-of-7 from 3 and 1-of-1 from the foul line.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers, Scoot Henderson, Portland Trail Blazers Updates

Henderson will have plenty of growing pains during his rookie season, but the talented guard will also have several highlights. The Blazers are excited to build around Henderson in the post-Lillard era and believe the youngster has all the tools it takes to become a franchise NBA player.

George, who averaged only 7.8 points during his rookie season with the Indiana Pacers, is one of the top players in the NBA right now. Even though Henderson and George don’t play the same position, Henderson can look at George’s career track and be confident in his ability to grow as a player over time.
