The Golden State Warriors play their first game of the season against the Phoenix Suns. They will be without NBA star player Draymond Green due to injury. However, there is a massive update on the timeline of his return.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN he might return as early as the second game of the season for the Warriors. That will be against the Sacramento Kings. Wojnarowski says about Green that “he’s literally day-to-day now. [Draymond Green] could make his [Warriors] debut at anytime, including their 2nd game of the season against the Kings this week… He’s gonna be back very soon.”
That is extremely great news for the Warriors. He was not predicted to return this early due to his ankle injury in practice. Green was reported to miss nearly four to six weeks initially. Now, the Warriors can have their starting forward sooner rather than later. That will help with getting back into rhythm and not have to miss many more games.

The last time Green missed significant time with the team was back in 2021-2022. That was due to a back injury he sustained. He would go on to miss half the season but would return to the team. Despite only playing in 46 games it was also the year the Warriors won the championship.
Green has played his entire career with the Warriors since being drafted. He has averaged 8.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists so far in the NBA.
