One NBA writer is proposing that the Oklahoma City Thunder acquire Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in a massive blockbuster deal. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Thunder and Nets:
The Oklahoma City Thunder trade Lu Dort, Cason Wallace, Aleksej Pokuševski, Tre Mann, a 2024 first-round pick (top-10 protected, via UTA), a 2025 first-round pick (lottery protected, via MIA) and a 2025 first-round pick (top-six protected, via PHI) to the Brooklyn Nets for Mikal Bridges
Bridges played for the Phoenix Suns and Nets last season. He averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 46.8% from the field, 38.2% from beyond the arc and 89.5% from the free-throw line.

In 27 games with the Nets, Bridges averaged 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists. The swingman shot 47.5% overall, 37.6% from 3 and 89.4% from the foul line.
Buckley would like to see Bridges on the Thunder next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Josh Giddey and Chet Holmgren. If the Nets don’t have a winning record near the February 2024 trade deadline, maybe the franchise will decide to rebuild and trade Bridges for draft picks and no team has more draft picks than the Thunder.

OKC could start Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams, Bridges, Giddey and Holmgren if the Thunder’s front office figured out a way to acquire Bridges from Brooklyn. That would be a lethal starting lineup filled with versatile scorers and defenders.
