One NBA writer is proposing that the Miami Heat acquire Jerami Grant from the Portland Trail Blazers in a blockbuster deal. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Heat and Blazers:
The Portland Trail Blazers trade Jerami Grant to the Miami Heat for Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin, Nikola Jović and a 2026 second-round pick (via LAL)
Grant, who becomes trade eligible on January 15, is expected to become available in trade talks before the February 2024 trade deadline, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Grant signed a five-year, $160 million contract with Portland this offseason in free agency before Damian Lillard requested a trade. Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Lillard requested a trade from the Blazers to the Heat, but he was sent to the Bucks. Miami tried to acquire Jrue Holiday from Portland, but the Blazers sent Holiday to the Boston Celtics.
While Grant isn’t as good as Lillard or Holiday, he’s still a talented scorer and rebounder the Heat could use.
