Jrue Holiday told NBA reporters on October 19 that he’s wearing No. 4 with the Boston Celtics because of him and his three siblings. The NBA champion is also wearing No. 4 because he’s close with former Celtics superstar Isaiah Thomas, who wore No. 4 with Boston.
The Celtics, who acquired Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers, are expected to start Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis this season. Several scouts around the NBA believe Boston may have the best starting lineup in the league.

Holiday, who helped the Bucks win the 2021 championship over the Phoenix Suns in six games, averaged 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 67 games for Milwaukee last season. The two-time All-Star shot 47.9% from the field, 38.4% from beyond the arc and 85.9% from the free-throw line.

That’s just off the court, which I super appreciate because I’m all about family. My family is the most important thing to me.”
