According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Los Angeles Clippers offered the Portland Trail Blazers “more” for Jrue Holiday than they have offered the Philadelphia 76ers for James Harden.

The Clippers weren’t able to land Holiday, who was traded to the Boston Celtics. Meanwhile, Harden, — who wants the Sixers to trade him to the Clippers — is still in Philadelphia.

Holiday played in 67 games for the Milwaukee Bucks last season. He averaged 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists. The NBA champion signed a four-year, $135 million extension with Milwaukee in April 2021.

Holiday, who helped the Bucks win the 2021 championship over the Phoenix Suns, will make $34.9 million this season. He has a player option worth $37.4 million for the 2024-25 season.

In 58 games for the Sixers last season, Harden averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 10.7 assists. He led the NBA in assists per game for the second time in his career. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Russell Westbrook want the Clippers to acquire Harden from the Sixers, league sources told NBA Analysis Network.

The Sixers agreed to search out a trade upon Harden’s request after Harden picked up his $35.6 million player option for this season in June. However, Philadelphia’s asking price for Harden is steep and no teams have been able to meet it yet.

Philadelphia has valued Terance Mann and multiple first-round picks. League sources told NBA Analysis Network that the Sixers and Clippers are not close to making a Harden trade.
