The NBA is looking to add more teams to its league. There are definitely many cities to consider who are very worthy of a franchise with a fanbase. Apparently one to consider is Las Vegas and LeBron James is putting pressure on the NBA to expand there.

LeBron is arguably the best player in league history. He has made an impact on every team he has played for whether it is the Cavaliers, the Heat or the Lakers. The four time champion now is an advocate for the NBA to add a team in Vegas for many reasons.

Among them is the fact that the “All-Star Weekend has been here a few times” and “you’ve got the NBA Summer League.” Additionally, he thinks “adding an NBA franchise here would just add to the momentum that’s going on in this town.”

LeBron also pointed to the fact that “you have the Raiders here, you have the (Golden Knights) here, you have the Aces here. You got F1 coming very soon.” He hopes that “it’s only a matter of time, and I hope I’m part of that time” that Vegas is part of the NBA. He has also pleaded to the commissioner and says he “want[s] a team here Adam, thank you.”

The NBA will have a decision to make on which cities are deserving of a franchise. Some teams have come up in the past. Seattle is one of them, who had a team called the Sonics not too long ago. They were rebranded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008.

A second Canadian team could be considered in Vancouver who has also had a team in the Grizzlies in the past before moving to Memphis. However, according to Lakers superstar LeBron, the city that should have precedence is Las Vegas. Another market to watch is Mexico City.
