One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Clippers trade for Portland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon in a blockbuster deal. Lee Tran of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Clippers and Blazers:
Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Malcolm Brogdon
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey, Kobe Brown, 2029 Second-Round Pick (LAC), 2030 Second-Round Pick (LAC)
The Blazers acquired Brogdon from the Boston Celtics in the Jrue Holiday trade. It’s unknown if Brogdon will remain with Portland since the franchise is in rebuild mode in the post-Damian Lillard era.

Before the Celtics traded Brogdon to the Blazers, the Clippers tried to acquire Brogdon, who won the Sixth Man of the Year Award last season. He averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 67 games while shooting 48.4% from the field, 44.4% from beyond the arc and 87.0% from the free-throw line.
The 2016-17 Rookie of the Year with the Milwaukee Bucks, Brogdon signed a two-year, $85 million contract extension with the Indiana Pacers in October 2021. He’ll make $22.5 million next season.

Brogdon has career NBA averages of 15.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists with the Bucks, Pacers and Celtics. It will be interesting to see where he’s playing in 2023-24.
The Clippers could start Brogdon, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac if Los Angeles’ front office figured out a way to acquire Brogdon from Portland.
