Holiday played in 67 games for the Bucks last season. He averaged 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists while shooting 47.9% from the field, 38.4% from beyond the arc and 85.9% from the free-throw line. The two-time All-Star signed a four-year, $135 million extension with Milwaukee in April 2021.

A California native, Holiday has career NBA averages of 16.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists with the Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans and Bucks. He has made five All-Defensive teams and two All-Star teams.

The Blazers are expected to trade Holiday since they are in rebuild mode. It’s going to be fascinating to see where Holiday is playing next season. The veteran has to be privately shocked that he got traded by the Bucks since he told Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he wanted to spend the rest of his career in Milwaukee a day before the Lillard trade happened.

“Before I even won here I think I said I’m a Buck for life and I mean that like deep in my heart,” Holiday said. “I don’t want to play for any other team. I think we have a chance to continue to do great things as the Bucks team and organization so I want to be in Milwaukee.”
