As we get closer to the start of the NBA season, there are still plenty of trade rumors floating around, with many of them surrounding Damian Lillard. As one of the best players in the league, Lillard is drawing a lot of attention.
With the Miami Heat being the favorite to land Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, it might take a third team to get involved to facilitate a trade. In a recent hypothetical trade proposal, the Indiana Pacers would acquire Tyler Hero from the Miami Heat in a big three-team deal.
Recently, on 8points9seconds.com, they constructed a blockbuster three-team deal that would send Tyler Herro to the Indiana Pacers and help facilitate a deal that sends Lillard to the Heat.
In the deal, Herro comes to the Pacers, Lillard and T.J. McConnell go to the Heat, and the Trail Blazers get Buddy Hield, Kyle Lowry, Jaime Jaquez, two first-round picks from Miami, two pick swaps from the Heat, and one first-round pick from the Pacers.

From the Pacers’ perspective, getting a player like Herro would be a nice addition to pair with Tyrese Haliburton. Setting up a backcourt with Herro and Haliburton would provide the Pacers with one of the best and youngest backcourts in the league.
Last season, Herro had a productive season for the Heat, as he averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. It was unfortunate for both Hero and the Heat that he could only play in one game in the NBA Playoffs last season, as he really would have helped the team, especially against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.

Even though Herro is a very good player for the Heat, it feels like he would be the main piece in any deal for the Heat to acquire Lillard. For the Pacers, getting involved and getting a young player like Herro would be a nice thing for the franchise.
