Bulls, NBA Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Chicago Bulls are looking to get back on track during the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season after a couple of very disappointing years. Over the last few months, NBA trade rumors and rumblings have been running rampant that if things don’t go well this season, the Bulls could tear down their roster.

DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine have been mentioned in a ton of trade rumors this offseason. However, the Bulls decided to keep the core together for at least the start of this season. The talent is there, but things need to be put together to get results in games.

With that being said, the Bulls are absolutely still open for business on the trade market if the right deal presents itself.

NBA RUMORS & NEWS: Alex Caruso & Chicago Bulls Updates

FanSided recently took a look at the most likely in-season trade candidate for each team around the NBA. When it came to the Bulls, they predicted that defensive wing Alex Caruso is the most likely player to be traded.

“The piece that Chicago has that would be easiest to move, though, is Alex Caruso. He’s a valuable two-way contributor on a team-friendly deal that any contender would love to add to their backcourt rotation.”

Like the article stated, Caruso is the kind of player that any serious contender would love to add. He is a scrappy defender and is more than capable of scoring on the offensive end of the court. Add in the fact that the price tag to acquire him wouldn’t be too steep and it has the makings of a likely future trade.

During the 2022-23 NBA season with the Bulls, Caruso ended up averaging 5.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.5 steals in 23.5 minutes per game. He shot 45.5 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 36.4 percent of his three-point attempts.

NBA RUMORS & NEWS: Alex Caruso & Chicago Bulls Updates

At 29 years of age, Caruso still has some good years left in the league. He has shown no signs of slowing down from being a pest on the defensive end of the court. That is a lost art in the league and has become a premium that teams pay to have.

Which teams could show interest in Alex Caruso has not been determined. A few that would likely have interest would include the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets. There are plenty of others who could have a need as the season moves along.

Expect to continue hearing NBA trade rumors surrounding the Bulls as we move closer to the season and then towards the trade deadline. Caruso is certainly a name to keep a close eye on during trade season.
