One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Lakers finally acquire Myles Turner and Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers. Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers and Pacers:

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Myles Turner, Buddy Hield

Indiana Pacers Receive: Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, 2029 First-Round Pick

The Lakers almost acquired Turner and Hield for Russell Westbrook last offseason. Los Angeles nearly sent Westbrook and unprotected first-round picks in 2027 and 2029 to Indiana for Turner and Hield before Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka determined that giving up two future draft picks was too steep of a cost to pay.

Westbrook got traded to the Utah Jazz last season, while Turner and Hield remained on the Pacers. The Lakers still have a level of interest in trading for Turner and Hield, sources told NBA Analysis Network, but ownership wants to see how the current roster does to start next season before making any trades.
