One NBA writer has named Damian Lillard, Zach LaVine and Buddy Hield as the Philadelphia 76ers’ top trade targets. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report believes the Sixers should try to trade for Lillard, LaVine or Hield.

“Philly makes a lot of sense as a Lillard suitor, since the prolific point guard is a hand-in-glove fit as Embiid’s pick-and-roll partner,” Buckley wrote in his latest NBA trade column. “LaVine could work for a lot of the same reasons, and while his playmaking abilities are lesser than Lillard’s, he should have more prime years in front of him.

“Should the Sixers fail to find a star—or somehow wind up convincing Harden to stay—then an elite shooter like Hield would be a sensible target. Much as JJ Redick once did, Hield could keep the interior open for Embiid by racing around screens, launching movement threes and demanding constant attention from opposing defenses.”

James Harden has requested a trade from the Sixers and intends to never play for the franchise again, sources told NBA Analysis Network. Meanwhile, Lillard has requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Lillard averaged 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists for the Blazers last season. He wants to get traded to the Miami Heat, but the Blazers and Heat haven’t made any progress on a trade.

LaVine averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Chicago Bulls last season. He shot 48.5% overall, 37.5% from 3 and 84.8% from the free-throw line. The Bulls have checked the temperature on LaVine’s trade market throughout the offseason, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

Finally, Hield is one of the best shooters of all time. He was second in the NBA last season in 3-point field goals (288) and shot 42.5% from beyond the arc. The 30-year-old Oklahoma product is a career 40.2% shooter from 3-point land, which is good for 39th in NBA history.
