Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James has hinted that he wants to play for Team USA in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

LeBron won bronze with Team USA at the 2004 Summer Olympics and gold in both 2008 and 2012. He opted against playing in 2016 and 2020.

LeBron will turn 39 on December 30, 2023. It would certainly be fun to watch him play for Team USA one last time.

LeBron signed a two-year extension with the Lakers last summer. He has a player option for the 2024-25 season. The future Hall of Famer averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists last season while shooting 50.0% from the field, 32.1% from beyond the arc and 76.8% from the free-throw line.

LeBron then put up 24.5 points, 9.9 boards and 6.5 assists per game in the 2023 playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets. The Akron native was still one of the best players in the world despite being 38 years old.

LeBron is averaging 27.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.0 assists in 278 games with the Lakers. He guided the franchise to the 2020 championship over the Miami Heat in six games at the Walt Disney World bubble in Orlando, Florida. LeBron will wear No. 23 again next season after ditching No. 6 to honor the late great Bill Russell.

LeBron needs 31 more triple-doubles to pass Magic Johnson on the NBA’s all-time triple-doubles list. Johnson recorded 138 triple-doubles during his legendary career with the Lakers. Meanwhile, LeBron currently has 107 triple-doubles.

LeBron is the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in both points and assists. The King has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Heat and Lakers. LeBron is the only player in NBA history to win three Finals MVPs with three different teams.
