NBA legend Tracy McGrady believes Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant is the best one-on-one forward in the league. McGrady picked Durant over Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Durant is one of the greatest players in NBA history. He has career averages of 27.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns. The Texas product has won two championships, two Finals MVPs, one regular-season MVP and four scoring titles.

A future Hall of Famer, Durant has made 13 All-Star teams and 10 All-NBA teams. He’s fourth in NBA history in points per game and 13th in points. Durant averaged 29.1 points with the Nets and Suns last season. He requested a trade from Brooklyn and was traded to Phoenix on February 9.

The Suns beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2023 playoffs but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round in six games. Phoenix traded Chris Paul and Landry Shamet to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal this offseason.

McGrady is one of the best scorers of all time. He averaged 19.6 points during his Hall of Fame career with the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks. McGrady won back-to-back scoring titles in 2003 and 2004 with the Magic. The NBA icon averaged 32.1 points in 2002-03 and 28.0 points in 2003-04.

A seven-time All-Star, McGrady was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. The Florida native finished his NBA career with 18,381 points. He would have scored more points had he not gotten hurt with the Rockets.
