Spencer Dinwiddie is eligible to sign a four-year, $128 million extension with the Brooklyn Nets, according to NBA reporter Brian Lewis of The New York Post. Dinwiddie is currently in the final year of his contract which will carry a $20.4 million cap hit. The guard will make $18.9 million next season.

“Dinwiddie is in the final year of his current contract, carrying a $20.36 million cap hit,” Lewis wrote. “But he became extension eligible on Monday and can ink a four-year, $128 million deal. Granted, that will not happen. But draw a Venn diagram of what he can get paid, what the Nets are willing to pay, and what he’s willing to take. Where will the circles overlap?”

The Nets acquired Dinwiddie from the Dallas Mavericks last season in the blockbuster Kyrie Irving trade. The 30-year-old averaged 16.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 9.1 assists in 26 games with Brooklyn while shooting 40.4% from the field, 28.9% from beyond the arc and 79.7% from the free-throw line.
