One NBA writer is proposing a three-team blockbuster trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls. Lee Tran of Fadeaway World proposed that the Timberwolves trade Karl-Anthony Towns to the Heat, the Bulls trade Zach LaVine to the Timberwolves and the Heat trade Tyler Herro to the Bulls.
Miami Heat Receive: Karl-Anthony Towns
Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: Zach LaVine
Chicago Bulls Receive: Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, 2027 First-Round Pick (MIA), 2029 First-Round Pick (MIA)
LaVine, Towns and Herro have found themselves in trade rumors this summer. The Bulls are open to trading LaVine if they can receive a grand package in return for the two-time NBA All-Star, insiders are keeping an eye on Towns’ future with the Timberwolves in the wake of Anthony Edwards signing a five-year maximum contract extension that could be worth up to $260 million and Herro is expected to be moved in a Damian Lillard trade.
If the Heat are unable to land Lillard, getting Towns would be a solid plan B, although it’s worth mentioning that Towns and Jimmy Butler don’t like each other. The two stars didn’t get along when they were teammates on the Timberwolves.
