Kemba Walker is leaving the NBA. The four-time All-Star has signed with AS Monaco Basket of the LNB Pro A league in France.

Walker appeared in nine games with the Dallas Mavericks last season. He averaged 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 42.1% from the field, 25.0% from beyond the arc and 81.0% from the free-throw line. The 33-year-old scored 32 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 17, 2022.

Walker has career NBA averages of 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists with the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Mavericks. He made the 2018-19 All-NBA third team after averaging 25.6 points, 5.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds for the Hornets.

Walker used to be one of the best point guards in the NBA before his knees started acting up. The New York native’s knees began to deteriorate after the 2019-20 season. While Walker put up 19.3 points and 4.9 assists per game in 2020-21, the veteran only averaged 12.7 points in the 2021 playoffs while shooting 31.7% from the floor with the Celtics.

Walker, though, only appeared in 37 games with the Knicks. He was removed from the rotation by head coach Tom Thibodeau, and shortly after that, Walker and the team agreed for the veteran to be away from the club.

The Knicks traded Walker to the Detroit Pistons last summer. The Pistons waived Walker, who signed with the Mavericks in November 2022.
