Not in the short term, no. The Pistons are giving up the best player in this trade. Moreover, Bogdanovic could be functionally important to this team. They need an elite floor spacer to support their bevy of young playmakers.
At the same time, Bogdanovic is a band-aid solution for this club. Eventually, they’ll need a similar player on the same timeline as their core. By that logic, moving him for value makes sense.

Why The Milwaukee Bucks Do The Deal
Sure. At this point, what are the Bucks holding onto first-round picks for? After all, this team has a title window. With that said, it’s a small one. The Bucks need to capitalize on the next two or three seasons and bring home another championship.
Brook Lopez is nearing retirement. Even Khris Middleton is aging. The Bucks aren’t likely to be in the contending picture for much longer.
