Wembanyama is not the same as Mobley. The two players are not the same. If anything, Mobley may have better defensive potential.

He’s a bit quicker on his feet. In contrast, Wembanyama has developed an offensive game that is much more advanced as a whole. 

He should be able to fit in better with Allen because of that. In the meantime, the duo should be able to dominate the offensive end of the game.

With Allen as a primary rim protector and Wembanyama as a weak side roamer, the Spurs may have one of the best defenses in the league. 

The Spurs, on the other hand, will not have title aspirations like the Cavaliers. Ultimately, if it becomes apparent that these two have a ceiling, they’ll move on from Allen if it becomes apparent that they don’t.
