There is no NBA team that does not need shooting. As to how much they will prioritize it, that is the only question. It is something that some teams place a lot of emphasis on.

There is nothing more important to them than shooting. In contrast, there are teams who would rather focus on playmaking and double down on it. 

One of these teams is the Orlando Magic. There is a plethora of jumbo-sized playmakers on this team. That’s a great thing – but they have to add more shooting to provide floor spacing around them to maximize their talent. 

It appears that they are aware of what is going on. Jett Howard was selected by the Magic with the 11th overall pick in the NBA Draft. He should provide a boost in this area.

However, adding a veteran shooter this summer would go a long way in helping the team improve, but that’s a start. It wouldn’t hurt to add one with a proven reputation of converting at a high clip on a frequent volume.
