Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant’s friend, Davonte Pack, revealed in a deposition regarding a 2022 altercation with a teenager at Morant’s house that the NBA star owns a Glock 40, according to Lucas Finton of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

A Glock 40 is a type of gun. Morant showed a gun on an IG Live video for a second time in May and was suspended for 25 games. The first incident happened in March and Morant was suspended for only eight games.

According to Pack, Morant was holding a lighter that looks like a gun in the May video. However, the NBA still suspended the All-Star for 25 games.

Morant’s suspension has already begun and will remain in effect through the first 25 games of the 2023-24 regular season. The Murray State product will have to adhere to certain conditions before being reinstated and is ineligible to participate in any public league or team activities, including preseason games.
