Sure, they landed back in the lottery this summer. Still, the Magic made strides this year. They looked more competitive than they have in recent years in 2022-23.
It’s time for this team to take a step forward. Usually, adding a rookie doesn’t aid that goal. The Magic could use a strong offensive guard who can space the floor and create his own shot.
That’s Simons. Meanwhile, he’s still comfortably young enough to be part of this team’s future.
