Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

By now, it certainly feels like the Knicks won’t be offering Toppin a prominent role. 

After all, they’ll be in win-now mode next season. Meanwhile, Toppin is stuck behind Randle in this team’s rotation. Both of these players are natural 4s. 

The Knicks are unlikely to move on from Randle. This is a star player. Thus, Toppin feels like the odd man out. 

This may feel wrong to some Knicks fans. The team selected Toppin in the lottery, and now they’re flipping him for a non-lottery pick?
