Combo guard Shake Milton will likely not re-sign with the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason, according to NBA insider Kyle Neubeck of PhillyVoice.
Milton becomes an unrestricted free agent on June 30. He signed a three-year, $4.9 million contract with the Sixers in July 2019.
“Philadelphia has a free-agent quartet outside of James Harden to manage this offseason: Paul Reed, Jalen McDaniels, Georges Niang, and Shake Milton,” Neubeck wrote. “Milton is the least likely of those players to return next season, sources say, as the veteran guard looks for a potential opportunity for more minutes (this could change if Harden were to walk in free agency).”
Milton averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists this past season for the Sixers while shooting 47.9% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 85.3% from the free-throw line in 76 games. The SMU product has spent his entire NBA career with Philadelphia.
