The NBA’s offseason is well underway. We’ve already seen our first blockbuster deal.
At least, it was a blockbuster on one end. The Phoenix Suns acquired Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards. In return, the Wizards received…relatively little.
Largely, that’s because Beal has a no-trade clause. The Wizards’ options were limited. With that in mind, we should assume that they did the best that they could.
On the other hand, this deal isn’t a can’t-miss decision for the Suns, either. The Suns have one of the most talented trios in the NBA.
On the other hand, they’re severely lacking in depth.
Unless they trade Deandre Ayton, that is.
