It’s expected for the Boston Celtics to undergo some significant changes this NBA offseason. Among them could be a trade to move a veteran guard to balance the roster. Some of this can be due to needing depth at center.
Some say that reliability is the best ability. We don’t care to argue. NBA teams have similar priorities. You could hire the most famous band in the world to play at your wedding – if you can afford it. If they don’t show up, you’ve wasted your money. Realistically, you should have gone with the local band.
A player may be talented – even special. If that player is scarcely available to play, it’s a moot point.
For example, look at Robert Williams III. This is an exciting young player: people would love to see him succeed. With that said, his body is unreliable.
The Celtics could seek a big man this summer as a result. It doesn’t help that Al Horford is already in the final stage of his NBA career either.
Could Clint Capela of the Atlanta Hawks be that big man?
