The Miami Heat’s offer to the Washington Wizards for shooting guard Bradley Beal is believed to be built around the expiring contract of point guard Kyle Lowry and could also include either forward Duncan Robinson or guard Victor Oladipo, according to NBA insiders Anthony Chiang and Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

The Heat want to keep rising star Tyler Herro.

“The Miami Heat is in advanced talks with the Washington Wizards regarding a trade for three-time All-Star guard Bradley Beal, according to league sources,” Chiang and Jackson wrote. “The Heat’s offer to the Wizards is believed to be built around the expiring contract of guard Kyle Lowry and could also include either Duncan Robinson or Victor Oladipo to help fulfill the salary-cap matching component of the deal. The Heat is also expected to include at least one first-round pick in its package.

“The Heat is working to complete the trade for Beal without including guard Tyler Herro, who is entering the first year of a four-year, $130 million extension that he signed with Miami. … The Heat has had multiple conversations with Beal’s representation and conveyed serious interest during those conversations, according to a source.”

Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, meaning he gets to pick his next team. The Florida product is very open to playing for the Heat, but he also wants to keep his options available since the Phoenix Suns are talking to the Wizards as well.

The 29-year-old Beal averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists this past season. He is close friends with Heat All-Star center Bam Adebayo.

It makes sense why the Heat are trying to keep Herro, who averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 during the 2022-23 regular season while shooting 43.9% from the floor, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 93.4% from the free-throw line. He was third on the team in points per game, trailing only Adebayo and All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler.

The entire NBA world is waiting to see where Beal is going to get traded.
