New York Knicks
Washington Wizards Receive: G/F RJ Barrett, G/F Evan Fournier, 2024 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2026 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2028 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2029 First-Round Pick (Swap – NYK)
New York Knicks Receive: G Bradley Beal
This deal has the Wizards getting more first-round picks than the other two deals. There’s a reason for that.
Barrett hasn’t necessarily lived up to his draft hype. Still, he has flashed potential. In a vacuum, Barrett and two or three picks would feel like fair value for Beal.
In practice, that won’t work financially. That’s why the Knicks have to add Evan Fournier to make the move work. The Wizards should get an extra pick or two to absorb his contract.
It’s worth the price to the Knicks. This team advanced to the second round even in spite of Barrett’s inconsistent play. With Beal on the roster, who knows what they could do?
