Everyone has a goal. If you don’t have a goal, you need to set one. Otherwise, life will get stagnant. NBA teams have goals too.
What happens when you accomplish your goal? You set a new one. As long as you’re always striving towards something, you’ll move forward.
Once they accomplish those goals, they set new ones. For a team in win-now mode, the goal is generally to improve upon your most recent season.
Just look at the Sacramento Kings. This team had a goal of making the playoffs in 2022-23, and they accomplished it.
Next season, they’ll likely have a goal of advancing further.
