There’s been a lot of talk about the Boston Celtics’ guard rotation recently following their NBA playoff elimination.
Fair enough. The Celtics took an interesting direction with this roster. They don’t have a real point guard. Instead, the Celtics opted to stack their roster with quality combo guards.
Some will say that they made a mistake. To be sure, this team could have used a floor general against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
On the other hand, perhaps that wasn’t the issue. The Celtics may have simply needed a more reliable ball-handler.
Continuing to emphasize scoring threats in the backcourt could be beneficial to this team.
Could that scoring threat be Terry Rozier of the Charlotte Hornets?
