Jonathan Kuminga is not getting a lot of opportunities on the Golden State Warriors. Perhaps it could result in a change-of-scenery this NBA offseason.
Why would he? The Warriors are contenders. They don’t have time to waste developing young players. Kuminga has plenty of upside, but he’s raw.
That’s not the only reason Kuminga is struggling to find time in Golden State. The Warriors don’t have room in their rotation for him either. Draymond Green is a staple of this organization, and Andrew Wiggins is a key player for them as well.
So, plenty of fans would like to see Kuminga land on a rebuilding team. To be sure, he’d get better opportunities with a team in that position.
On the other hand, what if he landed on a contender who simply needs a player like him?
A team like, for example, the Miami Heat.
