Miami Heat small forward Jimmy Butler has been dealing with a sprained right ankle since the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The NBA star sprained his ankle in Game 1 of the semifinals versus the New York Knicks
During the Heat’s Finals media day, Butler was asked to talk about his ankle injury.
“I’m not going to lie. I’m going to say nobody cares. You don’t either,” Butler said. “I’m still expected to do my job at a high level if I take the floor, which I will. We’re going to be okay. We’re going to get the job done, bum ankle or not, and I’m not taking a follow-up, so don’t do that.”
Butler and the Heat are facing Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the Finals. Jimmy is averaging 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists in the playoffs while shooting 48.3% from the field, 35.6% from beyond the arc and 80.6% from the free-throw line.

The Heat are looking to become the first 8th seed in NBA history to win the Finals. Butler, who is four wins away from winning his first title, loves going to war with his teammates.
“I love that about them because they’re never shook,” Butler said. “No matter what. We could be down, people can think that we’re out, and all of a sudden we’re right back in this thing and it’s because we do the same thing every day. We love being around each other. We want to see each other succeed. We really do enjoy when each other play well, and we’re going to continue to do that, never going to get rattled, and we’re going to see where we end up.”

Butler is one of the toughest players in the NBA. Even if his right ankle isn’t at 100%, the Marquette product will still find a way to play at a high level.
