1 Bold NBA Trade Scenario Sends Sixers’ Joel Embiid To Knicks

The New York Knicks’ season ended with Jalen Brunson attempting to carry a team in the NBA playoffs that didn’t pack enough punch around him. He needs a viable co-star to take this thing to the next level.

There is enough of a sample size now to see that Julius Randle probably isn’t a solution as one of the top options on a title contender come playoff time. R.J. Barrett hasn’t lived up to being the 3rd overall pick, either. Again, they need a viable threat next to Brunson to help set the tone.

As the NBA playoffs rage on, fans watch with bated breath. For the most part, they’re consumed by what’s happening. These games are as entertaining as can be. For fans of teams that have long been eliminated, possible offseason moves are naturally a focus.

Philadelphia 76ers fans are probably distracted, in particular. How couldn’t they be? Rumors suggesting that James Harden will return to the Houston Rockets after failing to pull off a trip to the NBA Finals have not slowed down.

If Harden departs, don’t be shocked if Joel Embiid follows. It may not be immediate, but it feels almost inevitable in the short-term future. The Sixers will be without the assets they need to retool around him.

Embiid may decide that it’s time for him to take his talents elsewhere. One team that would make a lot of sense to consider is the New York Knicks.

Could he take his talents to the Madison Square Garden?
