Boston Celtics guard Malcolm Brogdon is expected to play in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat, according to Marc J. Spears of Andscape. Brogdon didn’t play in Game 6. The NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year has a partial tear in the tendon coming out of his right elbow that leads into his forearm.

Brogdon suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. He may need surgery in the offseason. The former Rookie of the Year is averaging 6.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in the conference finals while shooting 33.3% from the field, 18.8% from beyond the arc, and 77.8% from the free-throw line.

The Celtics are one win away from making NBA history. No team has ever won a playoff series after trailing 3-0. The TD Garden will likely be rocking in Game 7.

Whatever you want to say. We really took it one game at a time. The series is not over. We’ve still got a big game Monday. But just the grit that we showed to get to this moment, I’m proud of that. I’m proud to be on this team.

“I’ve never been so excited to go back to Boston in my life and I cannot wait to see all the fans on Monday because it’s going to be fun.”
