Detroit Pistons forward Bojan Bogdanovic has been named an “ambitious” trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks by an NBA writer.
Dan Favale of Bleacher Report believes the Bucks, who lost to the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs in five games despite being the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, should trade for Bogdanovic this summer.
“Now is the time for the Milwaukee Bucks to strike if they’re going to significantly improve the nucleus via trade,” Favale wrote. “The new collective bargaining agreement already impedes their spending tools in free agency. Harsher trade rules kick in after next season.
“Bojan Bogdanović is perfect. Milwaukee desperately needs spacing and safety valves in the half-court. Bogdanović just shot over 40 percent on threes and 48 percent from mid-range, and he’s among the few non-stars who effectively blend hints of self-creation with accessory scoring.”
NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks, Bojan Bogdanovic & Detroit Pistons Updates
Bogdanovic is one of the top shooters in the NBA. The veteran swingman averaged 21.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season for the Pistons while shooting 48.8% from the field, 41.1% from beyond the arc, and 88.4% from the free-throw line. Bogdanovic projects to be a good fit next to Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo since he can space the floor.
In October 2022, Bogdanovic signed a two-year, $39 million extension with the Pistons. However, since Detroit is in rebuild mode, maybe the franchise will be open to moving Bogdanovic this offseason if the right deal becomes available.

“Detroit punted on moving him at the trade deadline,” Favale wrote. “It might hold to that party line this summer. But offering some combination of Beauchamp, Pat Connaughton, Grayson Allen and a first should get the Bucks in the door.”
Bogdanovic has career averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, and Pistons.
