In fact, he could be a solid replacement for Dorian Finney-Smith, who the Mavericks sent to the Nets in exchange for Irving.

Still, the most valuable asset they’re landing here is the draft pick. Granted, it’s lottery protected. That’s as good as Dallas can do in a sign-and-trade scenario.
