With the third pick in the NBA draft, the Portland Trail Blazers select… Nobody? Let’s be honest. We’re more likely to hear the words “We have a trade to announce.”
The Blazers already have Damian Lillard on their roster. By all accounts, they’re committed to putting a better team around him.
It’s been suggested that they intend on doing so by pairing Lillard with “an elite small forward”. That makes sense.
The Blazers badly need to improve on what was the league’s worst defense last season. Acquiring a two-way wing would go a long way toward accomplishing that goal.
With that said, so would acquiring a dominant two-way big.
Could Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers be an option?
