New York Knicks
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G/F RJ Barrett, G Immanuel Quickley, 2024 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2026 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2028 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2030 First-Round Pick (NYK)
New York Knicks Receive: F/C Anthony Davis
Whichever of these two proposals you like will boil down to preference.
The former deal has the Lakers nailing down a potential franchise cornerstone right off the bat. That’s appealing. At the same time, they won’t have much else to build with.
Here, they’re not landing that cornerstone. That said, they are landing two young players with plenty of upside. Most importantly, they’re netting four unprotected first-round picks.

As for the Knicks, they’ll have options here. They could look to move Julius Randle and field a jumbo, defensive frontcourt with Davis and Mitchell Robinson.
Alternatively, they could play Davis at the 5 alongside Randle and shop Robinson. That’s the value in having a versatile combo big like Davis.
Keep that in mind for this next proposal.
