The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a good spot entering the NBA offseason. They’re also in a somewhat strange one.
This team is young. They’re hyper-talented. The Cavaliers’ rebuild has gone well. They have assembled a cast of excellent basketball players.
Whether they all fit together is a separate concern. In this year’s playoffs, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley didn’t look like an ideal fit.
The combined spacing between the two big men was not optimal.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers need a wing. Every option they had at small forward was limited in some capacity. Next year, the Cavaliers need to solve that problem.
Could they solve it by sending Jarrett Allen to the Dallas Mavericks?
