A big reason that the Miami Heat are on the brink of advancing to another NBA Finals is that they have received contributions from up and down their roster this postseason. While Jimmy Butler is the key cog, he is far from the only player that has helped them win games and put the team in this position.

The Heat are only one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals as they took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Boston Celtics with their victory on Sunday night. Miami ran Boston out of the Kaseya Center, winning 128-102.

This postseason has been a 180-degree turn for Miami when it comes to the offensive side of the ball as they aren’t close to the lowest-scoring team this postseason as they were in the regular season. It was another shooting barrage by the Heat in Game 3, who shot 56.8 percent overall from the field and 54.3 percent from 3-point range.

One of the players who found his groove again from long range was Duncan Robinson. Robinson knocked down 5-of-7 of his 3-point attempts, which put him in the team’s record books.

Robinson now has 124 3-pointers in his postseason career. That is enough to take over the No. 1 spot in Heat franchise history, which was previously held by LeBron James with 123. Refinding his shooting stroke is one of the things that has propelled the Heat during the postseason.

The former undrafted free agent wasn’t even in the rotation at the start of the postseason, but injuries to Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo forced the hand of head coach Erik Spoelstra. Things have worked out excellently as Robinson has recaptured the shooting stroke that earned him his lucrative contract.

In the regular season, the Michigan product made only 32.8 percent of his 3-point attempts. It was the second consecutive season he saw a drop in his shooting percentage on 3-pointers, which forced Spoelstra to remove him from the rotation.

In the playoffs, Robinson is knocking down 44.7 percent of his attempts and is a key part of the team’s rotation once again. He has made the most of the second opportunity he received, leading the way on the second unit with Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin.
