The Charlotte Hornets have landed the second overall pick in the NBA. It’s a little bit awkward.
Most mock drafts have Scoot Henderson going second. This is a hyper-athletic point guard with tremendous floor vision. Henderson could be a franchise player.
LaMelo Ball already is one. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Are the Hornets going to take the ball out of Ball’s hands when he’s already proven to be able to do so much with it?
Of course, this is a rich man’s problem. The Hornets have options. They could select Brandon Miller. They could trade the pick.
Alternatively, they could rebuild around Henderson and trade LaMelo Ball.
Here’s a deal that sends him to the New York Knicks.
