This offer would depend on the Sixers’ assessment of Barrett. Frankly, he isn’t an easy player to assess. 

At times, he looks like a future star. Barrett has had stretches where he engendered that type of confidence. At other times, he’s barely looked like a long-term starter. 

If the Sixers are buying those flashes, this is the deal for them. They’re getting a player they see star potential in, one of the best young defensive bigs in the NBA, and four first-round picks.

On the other hand, if they’re low on Barrett, they’ll turn this down.

He highlights the package, so if they don’t see him as a highlight, they won’t be interested.
