It’s official. Victor Wembanyama will be a San Antonio Spur. It’s hard to imagine a more fitting NBA landing spot for the generational prospect.
The Spurs have a legacy of big men. They also have ties to France, having rostered star guard Tony Parker for so long.
Moreover, Wembanyama will be learning from one of the all-time great basketball minds from day one. If anyone should have the right to show him the ropes, it’s Gregg Popovich.
Some would argue that he’s the best coach in NBA history.
With that in mind, the Spurs would do well to add more leaders for Wembanyama. Meanwhile, it just so happens that one of the best veterans in the NBA may be on the trade market.
Here’s a deal that has them landing Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns.
